Lazio make Serie A history in six-goal win at Sassuolo

Lazio extended their winning run in Serie A to five matches with a 6-2 victory away to Sassuolo.

The game produced four goals inside the opening 16 minutes, accounting for half of the eight-goal total. It was the first time a Serie A match had seen four goals scored during that period since Atalanta’s meeting with Bologna on 4 April 2019.

Lazio’s latest success maintained their impressive form in the Italian top flight, while Sassuolo were unable to recover after the frantic opening to the match.

In the next round of Serie A fixtures, Lazio will face Cagliari.
