Kun Khalifat striker Chijioke targets goals in crucial 3SC clash
Kun Khalifat FC forward Ahiaeke Chijioke says his side are ready for the challenge of facing Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) in a vital Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) fixture this weekend.
The newly promoted Owerri club will welcome the Oluyole Warriors to Dan Anyiam Stadium, with Chijioke insisting that Kun Khalifat must improve their finishing if they are to claim maximum points.
Shooting Stars Sports Club are regarded as experienced and well organised, but Chijioke believes Kun Khalifat have prepared properly for the contest and understand what will be required tactically.
“It’s a big game,” Ahiaeke told the club’s media.
“We need to try to score goals. Shooting Stars SC are going to try and play with the same structure, and I think we need to be prepared for them.”
Kun Khalifat currently occupy 20th position in the NPFL table, having collected five points from their opening seven matches.
That record makes the home fixture especially important for the Owerri side as they attempt to change the direction of their campaign. A victory at Dan Anyiam Stadium would provide a significant boost, while Chijioke’s comments underline the team’s focus on becoming more effective in attack.
