JCA d’Agoe-Nyive and SARA FC will play in Togo’s first division next season after completing their promotion in the second-division play-offs on Wednesday, 7 October 2026.

Both clubs advanced after drawing 1-1 in their respective second legs, with JCA progressing 4-3 on aggregate against ASFOSA and SARA FC going through on away goals against Kakadl.

JCA preserve advantage against ASFOSA

JCA d’Agoe-Nyive carried a narrow lead into their return match after beating ASFOSA 3-2 in the first leg at Ablogame. They held on with a 1-1 draw in the second meeting to complete a 4-3 aggregate victory.

The result confirms JCA’s place in the top flight for the first time in the club’s history. The Agoe-Nyive side had finished the regular season as leaders of the South group with 22 points before securing promotion through the play-offs.

SARA FC return to the elite

In the North zone, SARA FC also came through a closely contested tie against Kakadl. The first leg ended goalless, leaving the teams level before a 1-1 draw in the return fixture.

With the two matches finishing level on aggregate, SARA FC progressed because they scored away from home. The Bafilo club, which had only been promoted to the second division this season, has therefore secured an immediate return to Togo’s top flight.

The promotion marks a significant achievement for both clubs, who had to negotiate two decisive play-off ties to reach the first division. JCA d’Agoe-Nyive and SARA FC will now meet in the D2 play-off final, with the second-division championship title at stake.
