Gift Orban continued his impressive scoring run in Turkey by producing a second-half hat-trick as Amedspor demolished Istanbul Ba?ak?ehir 5-0 in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday night, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigeria international delivered a decisive performance at the Seyrantepe Spor Kompleksi Stadyumu 1, scoring three times after the break to complete a memorable outing for the hosts.

Orban needed just seven minutes after the restart to add to Amedspor’s advantage, rising to meet Furkan Soyalp’s cross and directing his header into the bottom corner.

The former Hellas Verona striker struck again two minutes later after Amedspor launched a quick counter-attack.

Ermal Krasniqi provided the final pass, with Orban keeping his composure to finish from close range and further extend the hosts’ lead.

With 15 minutes remaining, the Nigerian completed his treble, once again benefiting from Krasniqi’s delivery before firing the ball into the net.

The hat-trick took Orban’s league tally to six goals this season, putting him level with fellow Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen in the Turkish scoring chart.

Orban joined Amedspor on loan during the summer transfer window and has made an immediate impact, registering six goals and one assist in five league appearances.

The 23-year-old has also scored against Trabzonspor and Kasimpasa this season, establishing himself as one of the division’s most productive forwards in the opening weeks of the campaign.

Osimhen has likewise enjoyed a strong start to the season, scoring six goals and providing two assists in four appearances before being sidelined by a hamstring injury.

With his latest goalscoring display, Orban will now hope to maintain his form and put himself firmly in contention for a return to the Super Eagles squad ahead of Nigeria’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mozambique and Guinea-Bissau.
