Frosinone climb to sixth after strongest five-game Serie A start

Frosinone recorded the best opening to a Serie A season in the club’s history by beating Como 2-0 on matchday five.

The result took the Lazio-based side’s points total to 10 from their first five matches and lifted them into sixth place in the Serie A table.

Frosinone had never previously made such a strong start to a top-flight Italian campaign.

Massimiliano Alvini’s team will face Napoli in their next match on 11 October. Napoli, the runners-up in Italy, are managed by Massimiliano Allegri.
