Nigeria's Flamingos will resume camping on Sunday as preparations intensify for their final-round qualifying fixture against Benin Republic in the race for a place at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The team, led by head coach Akeem Busari, will camp at the Remo Stars Sports Institute following a short break granted to the players after their impressive performance in the previous qualifying round.

The Flamingos booked their place in the final round in emphatic fashion, thrashing Guinea 11-0 on aggregate. Nigeria recorded a 5-0 victory in the first leg before completing the job with a comprehensive 6-0 win in the return fixture.

Benin Republic, meanwhile, progressed after overcoming Sierra Leone 5-1 on aggregate. The Young Amazons secured a 3-0 first-leg victory at the Stade de Kegue before sealing qualification with a 2-1 win in the reverse fixture.

Nigeria will host the first leg of the decisive tie at the Remo Stars Sports Complex between July 3 and July 5.

The return leg is scheduled to take place one week later at the Stade de Kegue.

The winner over two legs will secure one of Africa's qualification spots for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, which will be hosted by Morocco from October 17 to November 7, 2026.

Having reached every edition of the tournament except the 2018 finals, the Flamingos will be aiming to continue their impressive record on the global stage by securing another World Cup appearance.
