Fernandes takes Manchester United’s August award after Ipswich treble

Bruno Fernandes has been named Manchester United’s best player for August, with the club confirming the award through its social media channels.

The 31-year-old Portugal international was recognised after making a decisive contribution in the early part of the season. Fernandes scored a hat-trick in Manchester United’s recent match against Ipswich in the second round of the English Premier League.

The attacking midfielder also has one assist to his name, underlining his influence in the team’s opening fixtures. Fernandes is Manchester United’s captain and has been central to the side’s attacking output during August.
