Emmanuel Petit questions £140m Liverpool signing Bradley Barcola

Former France international Emmanuel Petit has criticised Liverpool winger Bradley Barcola, saying he would not have paid so much for the player.

Barcola joined the English club from Paris Saint-Germain for €140m, but Petit believes the France forward has yet to justify that transfer fee.

“I would never have spent that much money on him,” Petit said.

Barcola has made six appearances for Liverpool in all competitions since his move. He has not registered a goal or an assist in those matches.
