Doma United head coach Deji Ayeni says his side are ready to return to winning ways when they host Warri Wolves in Saturday’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) fixture.

Doma are fourth in the league table but have gone two matches without a victory. Ayeni believes the squad has responded positively in training and is prepared to secure all three points.

The manager acknowledged that the team’s recent performances had fallen below expectations, but said the players had taken responsibility for their errors and worked to correct them.

“The last two matches have not been good for the team generally, but we have learnt our lessons from our mistakes and are determined to get it right in our next game,” Ayeni told Completesports.com.

“We have been training hard, and I believe Doma United will be keen to bounce back to winning ways and get the maximum three points this weekend.”

Ayeni expects a demanding contest against Warri Wolves, who he said would arrive determined to collect points. However, he believes his players understand the importance of victory and the effect it could have on their league position.

“It won’t be easy because Warri Wolves are desperate for points, but my players know a victory will elevate us in the standings.”

A win would give Doma United the opportunity to strengthen their position near the top of the NPFL table after their two-match winless spell.

Warri Wolves’ desire to improve their own position is expected to add further pressure to the fixture, but Ayeni remains confident that Doma United’s preparation will help them respond positively.
