Declan Rice reaches Premier League milestone as Arsenal suffer Brighton defeat

Declan Rice made his 300th Premier League appearance in Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat by Brighton.

The Arsenal defender has not played all of those matches for the London club, having previously represented West Ham.

Rice reached the landmark at the age of 27 years and 249 days, making him the third-youngest player to record 300 appearances in the Premier League.

Only Gareth Barry and Frank Lampard achieved the feat at a younger age. Barry was 26 years and 323 days old, while Lampard reached 300 appearances aged 27 years and 209 days - 40 days younger than Rice.

Arsenal marked Rice’s milestone with a disappointing result as Brighton secured a 3-0 victory.
