Comoros face attacking reshuffle after Rafiki Said and Myziane Maoulida ruled out
Comoros will be without captain Rafiki Said and forward Myziane Maoulida for their crucial 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying meeting with Cameroon.
Both players are currently injured, leaving the Comoros squad without two of its principal attacking options ahead of the difficult away fixture against the Indomitable Lions.
Said’s absence is a significant setback for the Cœlacanthes. As well as providing pace on the wing, the captain’s leadership on the pitch will also be missing when Comoros travel to face Cameroon.
Maoulida’s unavailability further weakens the team’s attacking threat, with the forward’s finishing regarded as an important asset. His absence, alongside Said’s, means the coaching staff must substantially revise their tactical plans before the match in Garoua.
The double blow comes as Comoros prepare for a decisive stage of their campaign to qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. Their attacking department will now have to be reorganised for the demanding trip to Cameroon.
