Burkina Faso revive UFOA-B U17 campaign with Cote d’Ivoire win

Burkina Faso got their UFOA-B U17 campaign back on track with a 1-0 victory over Cote d’Ivoire in Yamoussoukro on Friday, 18 September 2026.

Charifatou Soulgani scored the only goal of the match as the Burkinabe side claimed their first points of the tournament.

The result came after Burkina Faso began the competition with a heavy 4-0 defeat by Ghana. Their response against Cote d’Ivoire gives them a renewed start in the tournament.

The competition is now being played as a single group of six teams, with each side scheduled to play five matches.
