Bournemouth will not sell Alex Scott in January despite Real Madrid interest
Bournemouth have told interested clubs that Alex Scott will not be sold during the winter transfer window, despite growing interest in the England international from across Europe.
Real Madrid have sent scouts to watch the midfielder in action during the 2026/27 season, while Bournemouth are aware that several other clubs are also monitoring the former Bristol City player.
The Cherries secured European qualification for the first time in the club’s history at the end of last season under former manager Andoni Iraola. Bournemouth rejected several offers for Scott during the summer, including strong interest from Chelsea.
Iraola also expressed an interest in taking Scott to Liverpool, although no move was completed.
Scott remains under contract with Bournemouth until 2028. However, he is reportedly not interested in signing an extension, a position that has increased the level of attention on the midfielder.
Bournemouth’s current stance is that Scott is not available in January. The club are instead preparing to consider offers of about £70M during next summer’s transfer window.
