Barcelona’s perfect start gives them the edge in Clasico, says Romaric N’Dri
Former Cote d’Ivoire international Romaric N’Dri Koffi believes FC Barcelona have the stronger case to beat Real Madrid in Sunday’s Clasico on 25 October 2026.
N’Dri, who previously played for FC Sevilla, expects the Catalan side to prevail in the La Liga fixture, which is the 10th matchday of the season. His prediction comes with Barcelona six points clear of their Madrid rivals in the title race.
Barcelona have made an unbeaten and highly productive start to the campaign, winning each of their opening nine league matches and scoring 39 goals. In an interview with Ivoirezine, N’Dri highlighted the team’s collective quality and the form of several important players.
The former Cote d’Ivoire international also believes Barcelona currently offer a better balance between their attacking play and defensive organisation. That combination, in his view, gives them an advantage ahead of the meeting with Real Madrid.
By contrast, N’Dri considers Real Madrid less convincing as a team. He says the Spanish champions have relied more heavily on individual moments from Kylian Mbappe and Ivorian player Yan Diomande, while also showing weaknesses in defence.
The match is therefore expected to have significant implications for the title contest, with Barcelona already holding a six-point advantage over Real Madrid before the sides meet.
The market heading for the fixture lists odds of 1.65 for Barcelona to win the Clasico in La Liga. A separate set of prices cited for the game gives Barcelona a 1.62 chance of victory, with the draw at 5.75 and a Real Madrid win at 3.90.
Barcelona will host Real Madrid in their 10th league match of the season on Sunday, 25 October 2026.
