Atletico make forest quip after Mourinho’s Real derby referee complaints

Atletico have called for an end to the focus on refereeing decisions after Jose Mourinho arrived at a press conference with photographs of two incidents from the derby in which he believed the referee had made mistakes.

The Madrid club also spoke to Spanish newspaper Marca, responding with a remark about the volume of alleged errors they believe have benefited Real.

“We thought about printing the refereeing errors in favour of Real, but we would have run out of forests,” Atletico said.

Atletico won the derby 2-1 at home.
