Arsenal face Bayern Munich interest in captain Martin Ødegaard
Bayern Munich have contacted Arsenal to enquire about the availability of captain Martin Ødegaard, according to thedailybriefing.
The Norway midfielder could leave the Premier League for the Bundesliga, with Bayern interested in signing him as uncertainty continues over his future at Emirates Stadium.
Ødegaard’s current contract with Arsenal runs until the summer of 2028. However, the London club have opened talks with the 26-year-old about extending his agreement.
Ødegaard has been an Arsenal player since August 2021 and was appointed captain. His current market value is estimated at €80m.
Any move to Bayern Munich would see Ødegaard trade the Premier League for Germany’s top flight, although the report does not state that Arsenal have received a formal offer for the midfielder.
