Andrew Robertson recalls difficult nights at Galatasaray’s home ground

Tottenham defender Andrew Robertson has identified Galatasaray’s stadium as a venue where he does not enjoy playing, describing the experience as “absolutely horrible”.

The Scotland international has visited the Turkish club’s home ground twice during his time with Liverpool. Both matches came in the Champions League and ended in narrow 1-0 defeats for Liverpool.

Robertson remained an unused substitute for the entire 90 minutes on his first visit. He returned for a second match and played the final 30 minutes.

Galatasaray’s supporters are renowned for their passionate backing, a reputation that has made the stadium one of the most intimidating settings in European football.
