Amorim says Milan’s development is still in its early stages

Ruben Amorim says his Milan project remains at an early stage, despite the club’s strong 3-0 victory over Lecce in the fifth round of Serie A.

Amorim took charge of Milan last summer and saw his side move up to fifth in the table after goals secured a convincing home win against Lecce. The result left the Rossoneri with 11 points from their opening five matches.

Asked how far the club’s rebuilding work had progressed, Amorim said: “Milan are still at the beginning.”

Milan’s next Serie A fixture is away to Sassuolo in the sixth round.
