Alvaro Arbeloa urges focus on Fulham amid pressure after poor Premier League start
Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa says attention should be on the club, his players and the supporters rather than speculation about his own future.
The London side are preparing to face Hull City on Saturday, 17 October, with Arbeloa under pressure after a difficult opening to the Premier League season.
Fulham are bottom of the table after six matches, having collected two points from four defeats and two draws. Another loss could cost Arbeloa his job, according to the BBC.
Arbeloa took charge of Fulham in the summer, signing a three-year contract after Marco Silva’s departure. Before moving to London, the Spaniard briefly served as caretaker manager of Real Madrid.
Despite their poor league form, Fulham have progressed to the last 16 of the English League Cup. They will host Crystal Palace in that competition later this month.
