All 36 states of the federation, alongside the Federal Capital Territory, have officially submitted their representatives for the men’s and women’s categories of the 2026 President Federation Cup, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The competition, widely regarded as Nigeria’s premier domestic cup tournament, will once again bring together clubs from across the country’s football tiers in a battle for national honours.

In the women’s category, several top sides have been confirmed, including Bayelsa Queens, Edo Queens, and Rivers Angels. Others, such as Nasarawa Amazons, Sunshine Queens, FC Robo Queens, and Delta Queens, are also set to feature, underlining the strength and depth of women’s football participation nationwide.

The FCT will be represented by Naija Ratels and NAF FC, while multiple entries from states like Lagos, Oyo, Plateau, and Kaduna further highlight the scale of involvement.

In the men’s event, clubs from the Nigeria Premier Football League headline the list of participants. Notable teams include Enyimba FC, Rangers International, Bendel Insurance, Rivers United, Plateau United, Kano Pillars representatives, and Akwa United.

Other prominent sides, such as Lobi Stars, Kwara United, Nasarawa United, Niger Tornadoes, and Sunshine Stars’ youth team, are also confirmed, alongside FCT representatives Sporting Supreme FC and their U19 side.

In addition, several states have included academy and feeder teams such as Adamawa United Academy, Jigawa Golden Stars Jnr, and Zamfara United Feeders, reinforcing the tournament’s role in grassroots development.

The President Federation Cup remains a unique platform where lower-division and amateur teams have the opportunity to compete against top-flight opposition, continuing its tradition of promoting inclusivity and discovering emerging talents across Nigerian football.
