Ifeanyi Udeze is confident Super Eagle will progress without stress from Group C
Former Nigerian international, Ifeanyi Udeze, has weighed in on the Super Eagles' group for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), expressing confidence that the team will be able to progress through a group that he believes is not particularly challenging, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.
Nigeria was drawn into Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania during Tuesday's AFCON draw.
Speaking on Brila FM, the former West Bromwich Albion defender stated that while African football has become more competitive, with no "minnows" left, he feels that the Super Eagles' strength and quality will see them through.
"For me, it's a straightforward group for the Super Eagles. It's not a tough group for us," Udeze said.
While acknowledging the growing strength of teams across Africa, he remains optimistic that the Super Eagles should have no problem advancing from the group stage.
"I agree there are no more minnows in African football, but the Super Eagles should be able to progress from this group," he added.
