Ibrahimovic ranks Yamal above Mbappe in La Liga top five

Former Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has ranked Lamine Yamal as the best player in La Liga, placing the Barcelona forward ahead of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior.

The former Barcelona striker gave his selections in a blind top-five ranking. His answers were reported by The Touchline, citing ESPN.

Asked to place the players, Ibrahimovic responded:

- Lamine Yamal – first - Kylian Mbappe – second - Vinicius Junior – third - Raphinha – fourth - Jude Bellingham – fifth

Raphinha, who finished fourth, was therefore left outside Ibrahimovic’s top three.

Yamal is among the leading contenders for the Ballon d’Or, with the award due to be presented in London on 26 October.

Ibrahimovic has previously predicted who will win the Ballon d’Or, the Champions League and several other tournaments.
