Former Italy international Vincenzo Iaquinta says his social standing changed dramatically after his father was jailed for links to the Italian mafia.
“I used to be called a champion, now I’m called a mafioso,” Iaquinta said, describing the bitterness he feels over the consequences of his father’s imprisonment.
Iaquinta ended his playing career with Cesena in 2012.
