Huijsen accepts blame after Real Madrid lose Madrid derby

Dean Huijsen has taken responsibility for Real Madrid’s 2-1 defeat by Atletico Madrid in their recent derby.

The 21-year-old central defender was sent off in the 52nd minute of Sunday’s match, with the score still level at 0-0. Real Madrid went on to lose the game 2-1.

Real Madrid’s next fixture is at home to Villarreal on 10 October. Jose Mourinho’s side are fourth in the La Liga table, with 15 points from seven matches.
