Brighton head coach Chris Hughton accepts that his side need to start picking up points sooner rather than later to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle.

The Seagulls lie three points outside the drop zone, having picked up just two points from the six Premier League games they have played since the turn of the year.

We've gone from being in a good position in the league...to where we are now on the back of three disappointing results.

And Hughton, whose side did see off Derby County 2-1 just over a week ago to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals, is well aware that he and his players need to turn their fortunes around as quickly as possible.

He told reporters: "You have to be concerned. We've gone from being in a good position in the league, seven points clear of the relegation zone, to where we are now on the back of three disappointing results.

"These are the facts and we need to start picking up points in whichever way we can do that.

"We need to start picking up some Premier League points and Tuesday night at Leicester gives us the first opportunity and then we go into a very big game at home to Huddersfield on Saturday."

Albion are in action on Tuesday evening when they head to the King Power Stadium to take on a Leicester City side who are without a win in their last seven games in all competitions.

When the two sides met on the South Coast earlier this season the game ended in a 1-1 draw, with a 1-1 final scoreline on Tuesday evening available at 11/2.

The visitors are 3/1 to keep a clean sheet and are 15/2 to be relegated come the end of the season.
