Highly-Rated Nigerian Defender Signs New Contract With Chelsea
Premier League champions Chelsea have handed contracts to twelve very promising young hopefuls simultaneously.
The highly-rated Nigerian defender Clinton Mola has penned a two-year scholarship deal and will be added to the Blues U18s squad for the forthcoming season.
Born March 15, 2001 in London, Mola joined Chelsea three years ago after he was scouted by their talent hunters while playing for a local club in the English capital.
The youngster is primarily a central defender but can also be deployed as a defensive and central midfielder.
A delighted Mola posted on Instagram after signing the scholarship deal : ''Happy to sign my Scholarship with @chelseafc , Looking forward to the season ahead ! ???. #CM''.
Mola is an England U16 international and scored in the Young Lions 3-1 win over Romania in a friendly on 24 August 2016.
