Hearts problems are spiritual, has nothing to do with quality players, says Sam Johnson
Ex Hearts of Oak defender Sam Johnson insists the current problems facing the side is spiritual and not as a result of poor quality of players.
The Phobians have been inconsistent on the domestic scene – winning just three of their nine games in the First Capital Plus League.
Hearts are currently 12th on the Ghanaian top flight despite making a strong start to the season.
Herbert Addo’s side needed a hardfought 3-2 win last week to end a two-game losing streak.
Many of the Hearts supporters claim the team is running poor on quality as the reason for their inconsistent form.
But Sam Johnson who played for the Phobians as a defender says the problems at the club is spiritual.
“They have very good players in the team,” he said.
“I know the problems at Hearts but I can tell you it is not player related.
“How can you believe that Hearts can go to Kumasi to beat Kotoko?
“They have to sit down and talk to resolve issues. There are a lot of spiritual things happening.”
Hearts resume their campaign in the Ghana Premier League against Hasaacas following their progression in the CAF Confederations Cup.
