Hearts midfielder Kofi Abanga set to sign two-year deal with Congolese side Saint Eloi Lupopo

Hearts midfielder Kofi Abanga is reported to be closing in on a move to Congolese side Saint Eloi Lupopo.

Abanga, 27, is currently in Lubumbashi to sign a two-year deal with top-flight side.

The former Aduana Stars enigmatic enforcer has decided to end his seven-year stint with the Ghanaian giants.

Abanga joined Hearts in 2008 but failed to live up to the hype following a protracted tussle between the club and rivals Kotoko.

Recurrent injuries conspired against a career which looked extremely promising.
