Hearts management member Alhaji Moro Akambi claims under-fire coach Herbert Addo is the best coach in Ghana.

The former club supporters’ chief insists the quality of the veteran trainer is next to none in the West African country.

Herbert Addo has come under lots of flak for the side’s unflattering Ghana Premier League campaign.

But management member Alhaji Akambi claims the under-pressure tactician is the best in the country.

“I know him as a very good coach. He is a coach who tries to put things in order. Pitching the players on what to do in terms of stubborn players, he is a plus. In coaching, you need a bit of luck and maybe he is not getting his luck this time around,” he said.

“In Ghana football when you talk of coaches, you cannot mention three coaches without mentioning Herbert Addo. He is never a bad coach. Herbert Addo has been coaching for the past 40 years and has achieved a lot.”

The future of Addo has become a matter of intense conjecture in the local media with constant reports of imminent sacking.
