Harry Kane is set to remain at Bayern Munich until the summer of 2029, making a return to the Premier League in 2027 increasingly unlikely.

The England captain has agreed the outline of a contract extension with the defending Bundesliga champions, with the remaining details now being finalised. An official announcement could be made by next month.

Kane joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham in 2023 and has quickly established himself in Germany. He has scored 154 goals in 156 appearances for the club since making the move.

The striker scored 73 goals for club and country last season, including for England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. That form has placed him among the leading contenders for the 2026 Ballon d'Or.

The veteran forward has won two Bundesliga titles since moving to Bayern Munich. However, the UEFA Champions League remains his main target for the current campaign after he has yet to win the competition during his time in Bavaria.
