Hansi Flick has no place in Barcelona plans for Alejandro Balde

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is not counting on defender Alejandro Balde, according to Goal, which cites Spanish newspaper Sport.

Flick is instead relying on Gerard Martin and Joao Cancelo at left-back, leaving Balde outside his current plans at the club.

Manchester United showed interest in the 22-year-old towards the end of the summer transfer window, but no deal was completed.

Balde has not played for Barcelona so far in the 2026/2027 season. He has remained an unused substitute for the full 90 minutes on four occasions and was left out of the squad for another match.

The defender is valued at €50m by Transfermarkt.
