Haaland fitness concern grows after missing Manchester City training
Manchester City forward Erling Haaland was absent from Monday’s training session before the club’s Champions League match against AEK, raising concerns over his availability.
The Norway striker appeared to be struggling after the final whistle of City’s Premier League game against Ipswich, when he was seen limping. He now faces the possibility of missing the club’s next fixture.
According to The Touchline, Haaland was not among the Manchester City players observed in training on Monday. Antoine Semenyo, Matheus Nunes, Nico O’Reilly and Mateo Kovacic were also absent from the session.
Manchester City are due to host AEK on Tuesday, 20 October. Kick-off at Etihad Stadium is scheduled for 22:00 Moscow time, with the match available to follow through text commentary.
