Arsenal's new Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli says he models his game on Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo and is delighted to have agreed at deal at the Emirates.

The 18-year-old, who trained with the Brazil first-team ahead of the Copa America, has put pen to paper on a long-term contract with the Gunners, after deciding to leave Brazilian outfit Ituano.

Now looking forward to testing himself in the Premier League, Matinelli says he is determined to follow his idol, and former Manchester United star, Ronaldo and build his name in the English top flight.

"I model my game on Cristiano Ronaldo," Martinelli said. "He is a player who works hard, pushing himself to the next level. Always in the run for titles and individual trophies.

"This is a dream since I was a child and also my family's dream for me to be playing in Europe and playing for a big team like Arsenal. I am going to take this opportunity."

Arsenal are currently 40/1 to win the Premier League title, while the Gunners are 5/4 to secure a top-four finish next season.
