Guela Doue withdrawn from Cote d’Ivoire squad as Luck Zogbe earns first call-up

Guela Doue will miss Cote d’Ivoire’s upcoming international camp, with Stade Brestois defender Luck Zogbe called up as his replacement.

The Elephants begin their Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifying campaign against Ghana in Bouake in the opening round. They will then travel to face Somalia in the second round before meeting Cameroon in a friendly.

Manager Herve Renard will therefore be without Doue for the fixtures. The Federation Ivoirienne de Football confirmed Zogbe’s inclusion in the squad in an official statement.

The call-up will give Zogbe his first opportunity to represent Cote d’Ivoire at senior international level.
