Grassroot: Interesting results as Hammola FC tourney kicks off in Ido-Osun
The 2022 Hammola FA Cup kicked off on Sunday 16th October, 2022 with the game between host Hammola FC and Rising Prime FC, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
Its was a beautiful start for the host Hammola FC as they defeated Rising Prime FC 2-0 in the tournament's opener to continue the push for their first ever Hammola FC tourney trophy having lost the first two editions in the final.
Young Talented FC pipped Onibueja FC by a lone goal as City Rollers and Future Boys played a 1-1 draw. YSF Warriors shared the spoils with Beyond the Limit all on the opening weekend.
Hammola FC so far have recorded two wins so far with their second coming on Saturday when they defeated OKAA Sports Ilorin 2-0.
Iwo All Stars are the biggest winner so far in the tournament recording a massive 4-0 win against Kamal FC.
Beyond the limits, IMO FA are some of the clubs to have recorded wins in the tournament.
One game per daily has been the system adopted by the organisers with 4 each on Saturdays and Sundays to enable them complete the tournament's on time before free regular season in the country kickoff.
The tournament also serves as pre season for teams parking in the NLO one and two.
