Ghana goalkeeper Daniel Agyei is doubling as a player and a coach at Liberty Professionals.

The 25-year-old has returned to the Dansoman-based club following an unsuccessful stint abroad with South African club Free State Stars.

Agyei has reclaimed his first choice spot at Liberty Professionals but was seen coaching the goalkeeper’s in training on Wednesday.

The former Ghana U20 star confirmed he is working with the club also as a coach in the absence of a substantive goalkeeper’s trainer.

“When I came back to Liberty Professionals, I saw that they didn’t have a goalkeeper’s trainer so I decided to help train the goalkeepers,” he told MTNFootball.com.

“I am using my experience both abroad and with the national team to guide the goalkeepers here.

“So it is like a player-coach work here and I am enjoying this role.

“The keepers here are ready to learn and it is good working with them.”

Agyei was a regular member of the Black Stars until recent times where he has not been considered for national team call ups.

He was part of the Ghana squad at the 2010 World Cup where the Black Stars almost made it to the quarter finals of the competition.
