Glory sign former Roar pair
Perth Glory have signed Dane Ingham and Nick D'Agostino on two-year deals from Brisbane Roar.
The pair have joined their new team-mates for the start of pre-season training, as Tony Popovic's side prepare to defend the A-League premiership.
Defender Ingham, who has played seven times for New Zealand, had made 19 appearances during his three seasons with Brisbane.
D'Agostino, who can operate anywhere across the forward line, played 13 times for the Roar last season before leaving at the end of his fourth season with the club.
Ingham, who spent three years with the Roar, is excited by the new challenge of trying to defend the Premier's Plate and playing in the Asian Champions League.
"After such a good year, it's clear that the club is moving in an upwards direction," he said. "That made my decision really easy when I found out that the club was keen to bring me over. Hopefully I can start as many games as possible and add some depth to the squad."
Perth football director Jacob Burns feels the duo have the potential to make a big impact over the next two years.
"They are both young, talented, versatile players who already have some solid experience behind them and are hungry for success," he said. "Their ability and ambition make them a great fit for our squad and we are delighted to have them on board."
D'Agostino, who has played at U-17 and U-23 levels for Australia, said he hoped to be involved in the Glory's pre-season friendly against Manchester United on 13th July.
Perth's only previous arrival during the off-season was former Melbourne City striker Bruno Fornaroli, while Australia international defender Jason Davidson left the club last week to join Korean side Ulsan Hyundai.
Perth are 4/1 to win the Grand Final, with Sydney FC 4/1 and Melbourne Victory 5/1.
