Giuliano Simeone calls for Julian Alvarez to be ‘left alone’ amid Atletico situation

Giuliano Simeone has spoken about the situation surrounding Atletico forward Julian Alvarez, urging that his team-mate be left alone.

Alvarez was involved in Atletico’s only goal in their 2-1 defeat by Liverpool away from home in the opening round of the Champions League. He provided the assist for Marcos Llorente, who scored for the Spanish side.

The result saw Atletico begin their Champions League campaign with a loss, despite Alvarez’s contribution to their goal.
