Giovanni Stroppa hails Venezia’s effort after Lazio home defeat

Venezia head coach Giovanni Stroppa said he was proud of his team despite their disappointing home defeat by Lazio.

The hosts produced an excellent first-half performance but conceded twice after the interval as Lazio secured victory.

The result means Venezia have lost all five of their opening matches in the Italian championship.
