Wales manager Ryan Giggs insists his team's preparations this week have not been affected by Daniel James taking time out to sort a move to Manchester United.

The Swansea City winger is seemingly on his way to Old Trafford for next season and had time away from the Welsh camp to finalise the move.

Wales have flown out to Croatia ahead of Saturday's Euro 2020 qualifier, but Giggs, who had earlier said he didn't want players contract talks to affect his side, insisted that preparations for the Croatia game had not been adversely affected.

He said at a press conference: "You have to be flexible because you don't want things weighing on players’ minds.

"So if it's sorted it's better for us and for the player as well. He's fine and he's trained well. A lot has gone on over the last ten days, but Dan has been fine around the group."

The game against Croatia is followed by a trip to Hungary, again in Euro 2020 qualifying, next Tuesday and Giggs confirmed at the press conference that Tottenham’s Ben Davies will be available for both games after groin surgery had been postponed.

On his team's chances of taking on Croatia, last summer's World Cup finalists, Gigs says their job will be to try and quieten the home crowd, adding: "You know it's going to be a challenge, but it's our job to silence that and turn that into pressure on the home team."

Wales are one of four teams in Group E who have three points, but they have played just the one game so far with Slovakia, Hungary and Croatia having played two.

Croatia are priced at 8/13 to win on Saturday, with Wales 11/2 and the draw 3/1.
