Wales boss Ryan Giggs claims there is plenty of positives to take from his side's 1-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday night.

A late goal from Ben Woodburn was the difference between the two sides, as the visitors looked like they were going to come away with a positive result in the international friendly.

Despite only scrapping past Trinidad and Tobago, Giggs felt the win will give even more confidence to the group going forward.

"They did [eventually find a way] and it is a great quality to have," he told Sky Sports.

"I thought there was some really good stuff in the first half and in the second, Trinidad and Tobago made it really difficult by sitting back in their shape and then counter-attacking.

"But overall, I'm really happy. There were a few debuts and Woody (Ben Woodburn) getting the goal in the end so there was a lot to be pleased about.

"A win leaves you with a better feeling obviously, and to score late on, if a team has that sort of trait, it's brilliant to have and that's what I've said to the lads."

Wales are next in action on Sunday when they face Slovakia in their first Euro 2020 Qualifier.

The Welsh are 11/10 to win, 9/4 to draw and 13/5 to lose in Cardiff.
