Ghana winger Christian Atsu wants his English club Everton to benefit from his impressive form at the recent African Cup of Nations after suffering lack of playing opportunities with the Premier League side.

Atsu has seen his opportunities limited for the Blues since arriving on a season-long loan from Chelsea in the summer, making just four starts and five substitute appearances.

However, the 23-year-old won both the Player of the Tournament and Goal of the Tournament awards when helping Ghana reach the final of the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

And Atsu, now back at Finch Farm, wants to play a more prominent role in the final months of the campaign.

“Now, I am in good shape, physically strong and I am really confident I can give my best to Everton. All I want to do his help my Club move forward.”

Atsu is on loan from rival Premier League side Chelsea.
