Ghana’s Africa U20 Championship opponents South Africa have called up a list of 24 players for camping which includes touring Qatar and Russia.

Head coach Thabo Senong will start training with his players on 3 January and end the 27 January.

Three players will be axed from the team before their training tour. "The team goes into camp on January 3, 2015 with the camp running until January 27. The boys will then be going on a tour to Qatar where they will play that country's Under-22 side in a friendly match on January 10.

“From Qatar the team will then travel to Russia to play in a Commonwealth tournament in St. Petersburg. The tournament will feature 12 teams and we believe that this will be a good tour that will help the boys to gel emotionally and socially while also helping with the tactical combinations," said Senong.

"We will cut down that team to 21 players who will then travel to that tour. We are also hoping to be one of the top four teams that reach the semi-finals and qualify for the World Cup.".

Amajita will hold their final camp before flying out to Senegal from February 15-March 5.

South Africa are in Group B with Ghana, Zambia and Mali.

The four teams that will reach the semi-finals of the tournament will qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup to be hosted by New Zealand. AMAJITA SQUAD:
