Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak will face a tough opponents when the draw for the final play-off round in the CAF Confederations Cup are held on Tuesday.

The Accra-based side are among the 16 clubs who have reached the final phase of qualifiers before the group stages of the competition.

Among the 16 clubs are several former African champions including South African side Orlando Pirates, ASEC Mimosas, Zamalek, and the Tunisian duo of Club Africain, and Étoile du Sahel.

On Tuesday the CAF Confederations Cup draw will reveal the name of the team Hearts will face in the third and final play-off round of Africa's second tier club competition.

Hearts who secured their path via 2-2 away goals rule victory over Malian side Djoliba will be up against some tough opposition come the draw on Tuesday.

The eight sides who have progressed through the Confederation Cup to date will be drawn against one of the sides that have dropped into the competition from the Champions League.

These teams are: AC Léopards, SM Sanga Balende, Al-Ahly, AS Kaloum, Stade Malien, Raja Casablanca, CS Sfaxien, or Espérance de Tunis.

Other teams that have qualified for the playoffs via the Confederations Cup route along with Pirates are ASEC Mimosas, AS Vita Club, Zamalek, Hearts of Oak, Warri Wolves, Club Africain, and Étoile du Sahel.

These matches will be played on the weekends of May 15-17 and June 5-7.
