Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Teye Partey has given an emotional sending-off message to supporters of Spanish side Almeria after playing his last game for the club over the weekend when they were relegated.

The 21-year-old gave his touching message to the Almeria fans after their final game of the season against Valencia which they lost 3-2 on Saturday.

The result meant Valencia secured a Champions League while Almeria dropped to the Spanish second tier on a dramatic final day of the season.

The game ended Teye Partey's one-season loan spell with Almeria after playing in 31 matches, scoring three times which seems to have drawn him to the fans of the club

"First of all, I thank God for this season even though we were not able to fulfil our wish," the talented midfielder said on his Facebook page.

"Thanks to the great family of Almeria, all the coaches, the players, employers for your great support and affection towards me, and the opportunity you have given me to show my qualities in this first division.

"The only thing I can say is thank you, thank you and thank you. I wish you good luck to the club @udalmeria to go back to first."

Teye Partey was acquired on loan from Atletico Madrid last year.
