Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei is eyeing a semi-final berth in the CAF Champions League with TP Mazembe.

The Congolese champions are just two wins away from reaching their fourth semi-final berth in the last five years.

Mazembe recorded an impressive 2-0 win over Egyptian side Smouha over the weekend to go top of group A.

And the former Kotoko captain is thrilled with a potential last four beckoning.

“I am happy because is not easy to get this far. Our games have been very tough since we begun the competition, but we have been able to get ourselves this far and now we are close to qualify for the Semi-finals. So am very happy,” he told Kasapa Fm.

Adjei has impressed since he joined the Congolese side from Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko.

And along with his compatriot Solomon Asante, Yaw Frimpong, Gladson Awako and Richard Kissi-Boateng, Patrice Carteron’s side have never looked back in this year’s Africa elite inter-club competition.
