Ghana youth midfielder David Atanga extends Red Bull Salzburg contract till 2020

Ghana youth midfielder David Atanga has extended his contract with Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.

The 18-year-old will remain with the club until 2020.

Atanga was offered a professional contract in January this year.

The promising attacking midfielder joined the side from FC Liefering where he made 13 appearances in the Sky Go Erste Liga.

“David is a player who we want to keep on developing, as we see great potential in him.” Salzburg director Christoph Freund said.

He was a member of Ghana's Under-20 squad which crushed out of the ongoing World Youth Championship in New Zealand.
