Ghana U20 world cup goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi says he has gained enough exposure to represent the national team after an impressive FIFA U20 world cup campaign in New Zealand.

The 18 year old year old is coming off a remarkable world cup campaign in Zealand despite Ghana’s inability to make the last eight of the competition.

Zigi who plays his club football with Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg has endeared himself to the Ghanaian populace with some calling for his immediately inclusion into the Black following his ground breaking performance in New Zealand.

With his age clearly being a hindrance to the national team Zigi says he is more than ready to replicate his fine fone at the U20 level with the national team.

“It’s always been a dream to play for my national team and I would be delighted if the opportunity is given me,” Ati-Zigi told Accra based Citi FM

“Most people talk about age but once I get the opportunity you will see what I am made of.

Quizzed on if thrown into the team would he be able to stand the heat Zigi replied by saying.

“I am ready for the national team.”

The youngster was not part of the Satellites team for the Africa Youth Championship in Senegal but stole the headline with his performance in performance in New Zealand.
