Ghana head coach Avram Grant will include Juventus star Kwadwo Asamoah in his squad to face Mauritius in the 2017 AFCON qualifier after the midfielder recovered from injury.

The Israeli gaffer was forced to leave out the 26-year-old from his squad for the 2015 AFCON after he suffered an injury prior to the campaign in Equatorial Guinea.

Asamoah commenced training two weeks ago and the midfielder is in the Juventus side that are away to Inter Milan at the San Siro on Saturday, with a chance of a first game of the year.

The former Liberty Professionals midfielder suffered a leg injury and missed Ghana's 2015 AFCON campaign but has returned to training and is likely to face Inter Milan.

Ghana coach Avram Grant has penciled down the midfielder for a return to his squad and will name him squad to face Mauritius in Ghana in mid-June.

Grant is expected to name his squad for the game after watching Ghana's Local Black Stars play in the COSAFA Invitational Tournament in South Africa.
