Five Ghana players including Jordan Ayew named in AFCON Group C best XI
Five Ghana players including much-maligned Jordan Ayew made it in the Africa Cup of Nations Group C best XI, according to renowned football statistics firm Whoscored.com.
Left-back Baba Abdul Rahman made the grade in a back four which comprises Majid Bougherra (Algeria) and Eric Mathoho (South Africa) as centre-backs.
Senegal's Stephane Badji who plays for Norwegian side SK Brann was the best choice for the right-back role.
Black Stars duo Christian Atsu and Mubarak Wakaso made it among the four midfielders including Mandla Massango (South Africa) and Nabil Bentalaeb (Algeria).
Ghana duo Asamoah Gyan and Jordan Ayew lead the attack.
Jordan has been included in the list even though supporters back home have not been charitable towards the Lorient striker but statistics have proven that he is one of the hardest working players in Group C.

They say empty barrels make the most noise. And that is who we are as Ghanaians. We talk soccer but we dont know the fundamentals of the game. The only decent dribbler, ball juggler and schemer in our team is Jordan and yet people dont see what he does on the field and call for his exclusion. Are these arrogant Jordan' hater and enemies of the progress of game better than the coach. I pray the coach doesn't listen to them because they will be the people to call for his head if God forbids he fails.

Whatt!!ball joggler, you obviously don't know what a ball joggler is,you see the Algerian number 11,that's who u call a ball joggler. I didn't see one player that he beat on one on one in this afcon.

U select Jordan b4 gyan and u count your team as loosers because he's not going to score. Best striker of the tournament, yea u are right, striker who can't take a shot or worry defenders. Apuu.

Opeele Boateng and co can choose to hate Jordan, his brother and father for whatever reason. Some of us know they have contributed their share. Jordan has been good and he can choose to be blind about it. It is his problem.

Jordan and Asamoah are there because in our group The strikers did not #Stand out...they were all poor. Jordan and Gyan did not play extraordinary football. I think Jordan is not a striker n should be shifted to a different department.

Jordan and Gyan did not play extraordinary soccer but are there because the other strikers did not perform well in our group. I think Jordan should.be shifted to a different department because he is not a striker.
